Greetings.
My name is Brian, and I am the founder of strategy-board-games.com. I have been playing various board games and other tabletop games for my entire life. You could call me a professional nerd. I have found that especially in strategic board games there are many options out there, and many are rather expensive. I play many of these, and I sift through which are great, and which aren’t worth the time or money.
I’d like to get into more detail of who I am and tell my story.
I Have been an Avid Gamer of All Types My Entire Life.
From a young age, I’ve played all kinds of games, from 4X grand strategy video games, to longer form board games like Risk. I’ve played table top games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. I play many strategic games, and I naturally analyze the strategic elements of these games. I love these kinds of games, but there are a few duds in the mix.
I Want to Help Sift Through the Rough.
I want to help you find strategic board games that are both enjoyable and replayable.
Let’s face it, finding a board game that doesn’t work for you is extremely disappointing. Board games aren’t cheap. It can feel like a waste of money if you play a board game once and never touch it again. They also can take up way too much space, and it can feel crowding if you don’t have a lot of storage space. This is why I’m here. I want to help you find the right board game so you don’t feel disappointed for spending money on cardboard that will collect dust, or worse, go in the trash.
My Goal is to Find the Right Game for YOU.
My goal boils down to finding the right fit for a board game that you’re looking for. I will use my experience to help find a game you may never have even heard of. I want the game that you find with me to be a great piece that you bring out to your friends around your table, time, and time again.
